2020 Volkswagen T-Cross Specs, Interior, Price – Here is the latest 2020 Volkswagen T-Cross, and it’s mostly a Polo that’s been pumped out slightly. So it’s turned into one of those really cool small SUVs. This is the kind of car you can be looking at if you’re considering something like a Peugeot 2008 or a Renault capture. So this Volkswagen starts at 17,000 pounds.
2020 Volkswagen T-Cross Changes
Let’s begin this discussion by speaking regarding the 2020 Volkswagen T-Cross design. Because that is one of the main reasons to pay a premium for one over a standard Polo. And it certainly stands out particularly big bar that runs across the arse of the car. A lot the fact you’ve got a roof spoiler as well. It’s all very chunky lots of creases on it. As well alloy is there mentioned 16 inches to 18 inches.
And the internal car doesn’t have these roof bars. But the SC model gets them, look kind of cool down there. You need that for the rugged off-road look, although of course, this is not an off-roader.
You can’t even get it with all-wheel drive. It’s got a very distinctive face as well, not a bad looking thing. However, you know the more you pay, the cooler it looks. And you can actually upgrade this car with the various design package. There are three different colours to choose. from so one’s green, one is like grey and then there’s this orange one. You’ve got this bright paint, you got orange lines on the wheels, and there’s something more I’m going to show you inside.
You see you then get these orange accents here on the steering wheel. Here on the centre console but most notably here on the dash. And it’s got this kind of like Tiger effect which I think looks right. Without this it’s just a little bit drab inside, it’s all grey and dingy. And then there’s the quality of materials on the dash is hard plastics. Whereas in the Polo you can get a soft touch. Go for Polo if you really do need this over that smaller little hatchback because this does cost more money.
The rest of the quality is pretty good. The controls feel good, they’re stable enough. I do like the fact that wait you’re actually touching with your elbows it’s nice and padded. And the steering wheel feels good as well. I also like the position of the screens, because it’s integrated into the dash.
This car’s equipment starts 8-inch touchscreen, 6 speaker stereo and lane-keeping assist. The SC model adds android auto and apple car play, a leather steering wheel and adaptive cruise control. The SEL adds sat-nav. Front and rear parking sensors.
Let’s carry on the review by talking about this infotainment system. So it comes with Bluetooth connectivity and da B digital radio, obviously. And it has some shortcut buttons to help you navigate through the menus. The icons could do with some colour though to make them easier to read while you’re driving. Still, Android auto and apple carplay are easy to set up and nice and responsive.
Meanwhile, the built-in sat-nav is easy to program, calculates three new routes quickly and is a doddle to add a waypoint with. But it’s a little bit sluggish to pound and zoom around the map. The standard 6 speaker stereo is a little bit weird. However, you can agree to a Beats Audio system which is just louder, better quality and it has a subwoofer in the boot.
2020 Volkswagen T-Cross Engine
Let’s talk about engine choices, so you can get to petrels both 1-litre 3-cylinders. 1 has 95 horsepower, and that comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Over there and you can do zero to 60 in eleven point five seconds. The other petrol engine has 115 horsepower, and it can do zero to 60 in about ten point five seconds. And it comes with either a six-speed manual or an automatic. Then there’s a 1.6-litre diesel which can do zero to 60 in around 12 seconds. and that comes with the 5-speed manual or the automatic dose of the economy.
This little T-Cross is absolutely blooming brilliant for driving in town. So you set up slightly higher than a standard hatchback which gives you a good view out. Also, the suspension is nice and soft. So it’s excellent over bumps and potholes, you really don’t feel them. And there is the controls super light, easy to use. The gearbox is a bit notchy, but it’s precise enough. And the brakes they’re nice and smooth yet strong, I like it. It’s also manoeuvrable as well, so the turning circle is suitable for doing U-turns.
2020 Volkswagen T-Cross Price and Release Date
So this particular car is the 115 horsepower, SE version and it costs from nineteen and a half thousand pounds. So then, what’s my final verdict on the 2020 Volkswagen T-Cross. Should you avoid it, think it, shortlist it or just go right ahead and get it. Well yeah, if you can afford it, why would you not go directly and buy it. I’ll leave it up to you guys. But I reckon you should go right ahead and buy the Volkswagen T-Cross. If you’re looking for a small SUV because I think this is the best one.
